    This is great. My …
This is great. My grandfather is one of those “ma and pa” farmers Stossel talks about and what was said is absolutely true. My grandfather has seen tons of farm bills go thru promising to help farmers like him with subsidies, but he hasn’t seen a dime. Spot on.

    If people stopped …
If people stopped being afraid of change, and actually embraced a “yes we can” mentality, then creative destruction and spontaneous motivation would work. Unfortunately, people like to find a job, stop working hard and then sue if they are fired.

    Our quality of life …
Our quality of life would be much much better if the government followed the constitution and got out of the way. They create most if not all of our problems. When are we going to realize that politicians can’t solve our problems… They only create them.

When we the people fix a problem we do it completely voluntarily in a way that mutually benefits those fixing the problem. When politicians try to fix something they only use force and distort our marketplace and set back society.

    I think politicians …
I think politicians get off on spending other people’s money, after all it’s 90% of what they do. When the impact of that hits you, you begin to understand how pathetic these people are. Good statesmen would RESIST spending other people’s money unless NECESSARY because they would understand that it’s hard earning honest money.

    Obama’s made a …
Obama’s made a campaign promise to personally go through these football fields long (each) federal government policies- line by line- to rid the budget of wasteful spending; but as an United States Senator, wasn’t it his job to have gone thoroughly through these policies to eliminate waste before he signed them, anyway?

And they wonder why we’re so angry.

    FIRE THEM ALL!

    VOTE THIRD PARTY.

    Every politician …
Every politician should be forced to read the following books before they are allowed to serve:

    1) “Economics in One Lesson” by Henry Hazlitt
    2) “The Road to Serfdom” by Friedrich Hayek
    3) “Capitalism” by Ayn Rand
    4) The complete works of Ludwig von Mises

Because none of them know the slightest thing about economic theory. They should not be allowed anywhere near their jobs until they educate themselves.
