Look into the original intent of the electoral college. It was meant to be a check on the majority. Electors were originally chosen by state legislatures; we now vote on blocs of electors who are pledged to the candidate, and as a result, we have politicians pandering to the masses who vote directly. And what do the masses vote for themselves? Why, lots of handouts and wealth redistribution of course. The electoral college was meant as a check on the masses to keep the constitution in charge.

When building a rink the group of skaters can be thought as similar to the company building the rink they don’t need government going over every decisions. This is correct, the President can not fix everything and they way over promise. BUT… even if they can not fix everything they have an impact. Just like the video, nobody wants to have someone telling them what to do. We don’t want a government telling us that we have to share our money with someone else who they deem less fortunate.
