Why are we being taught languages like this?

VIDEO DESCRIPTION
——————-

Basically last wednesday I was feeling realy anoyed in German how my time was being wasted as I could being learning something properly. As I asked my teahcer my teacher told me to basically shutup and listen while my class also told me to shut up. (all my class are unfortunately media idiots). except for a couple of them. So at the end off the lesson the teacher called me over and said I was in a funny mood and I said no I just want to learn German. And that I would rather have an E grade but know the stuff. At this she told me she teaches us for the grade. She also told me I couldn’t do anything about it and this is my attempt at that. Which means she gets her salary for teahcing us a bunch of rubish that won’t help us at all. We misewell get an A grade in skipping.

You may add the US …
You may add the US to this list as well. Other than in the states where ppl are in vital need to have at least some understanding of a second language (Spanish in the southern and southwestern parts of the country), language skills do not rank high on the priority list of high schools and colleges.
It may well have to do with the fact that english is the world’s no.1 language, which means less pressure put on native english speakers being proficient in another language.

Thanks for being such a loyal subscirber and I know what you mean aobut people who NEED to lean a language and they just do it. But in our educational system it doesnt work unfortunately. It seems to be worse in england than anywhere else though.

    And this happens at …
And this happens at a time when, if someone chooses to do intensive (and expensive) “Berlitz” Lessons as an adult, after six months of learning he is able to speak fluently.

    It is a shame.

If you need help with german, let me know.

    Guten Abend, …
    Guten Abend, ilovtomakevideos,

it seems to be the same all over the world.

I know a high school teacher for english here in Austria. I asked her what is going wrong with an education system that makes you have english classes from grade three to grade 12, and the outcome is that the guys who finish that classes - even with an “A” grade - are not really fluent in english.
    Like, for example, me.
