I was on a goth website and youtube some of the band on the new album list and a few of them just kind of sounded like dance stuff with more depressing lyrics? i’m not dissing i’m into hawthorne heights, BVB, BMTH, BFMV etc myself.
Is this what goth music is, like dance?

BVB, BMTH, and BFMV are pretty much as far from goth as you can get. Start out with Bauhaus, Siouxie And The Banshees, Bella Morte, Alien Sex Fiend, The Cure, and Sisters of Mercy. Then maybe check out some Goth Metal bads like Type O Negative, Ministry, Moonspell, and Poisonblack. Hope this helps.
