Im from Canada and Im just curious. Barack Obama’s from Chicago which would explain why he has that sort of street savvy. But many presidents before him were from such rural areas. When was the last time a president grew up with transit rather than pick up trucks?
Probably Theodore Roosevelt. His main home was on Long Island, outside New York City, but he began his moves in politics in the city as , if I remember correctly, Police Commissioner.
